Competition Rules
General Rules For All Competitions.

Competitors must be paid up members of the society.
Each member may submit one entry in each section.
Each entry should be the competitors own work.
Each entry should be placed in an exhibition protector which must not exceed 245mm in width & 300 mm in height (9 ½ x 11 ¾ in.).
Each entry is judged by all members of the society who are present on the evening of the competition except competitors in that particular competition.
Winning entries cannot be entered in following years.
The trophies are kept by the winners for one year.

Classes

General Philately.
The study of postage stamps, their nature and make up, either solo or as part of a set; of their separation, surcharge or cancellation, alone or on piece or cover. This class also provides for Postal Stationery and for Fiscals authorised or used for postage.

Postal History.
Intended for entires’ and/or complete covers demonstrating routes and rates etc. and /or postmark studies, whether on cover, piece or loose stamps. Unused stamps should not be present.

Aerophilately.
Intended for a study of covers and/or official or unofficial stamps and/or labels or cachets concerned with the carriage of mail by air.

Thematics.
Confined to a study of a “theme” by means of stamps, postal markings, etc., preferably from a range of countries. An entry from a single country may be marked down.

Cinderella.
Intended primarily for non-postal adhesive-like issues or cachets by Governments or by private organisations for receipt, advertisement or other non-postal purposes, whether loose or on postal or non-postal documents, etc.
